Sunday morning we were awakened by what sounded like our truck landing on the roof.  It was, of course, a big old thunderstorm right on top of us.

wp-1460523954081.jpg wp-1460523728098.jpgI don’t know why, but the weather here is one of the things that has surprised me.  We have experienced 40 – 50 mph winds with gusts of 50 to 60 mph.  We’ve had sun, lots of sun, with a few partly cloudy days.  The best thing of all is that the weather has been mostly in the mid-70s to the mid-80s.

wp-1460523827920.jpg wp-1460523328171.jpg wp-1460523874152.jpg wp-1460523907808.jpg wp-1460523954081.jpgThis past weekend was a huge departure from what we’d experienced the first couple of months.  It clouded up and thunderstorms ran along the mountains on both sides of the valley we’re in.  Then, it rained here with rain that would rival anything we saw in the Chico, CA area.  It rained for 3 days straight.  We even saw a flash flood down along Hwy 95 here in Bullhead City.

Then Monday we were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow.wp-1460426697784.jpg
